Scholarships Awarded to Kids of Breast Cancer Victims

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is awarding college scholarships to students whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

The nation's largest private funder of breast cancer research recently awarded four-year undergraduate scholarships to five students who lost a parent to breast cancer.

The Komen Foundation College Scholarship Award assists recipients with the tuition, books, fees and on-campus room and board, and provides aid to students who would otherwise find a college education to be a significant financial burden or impossible.

The Komen Foundation will begin accepting applications for the 2003 Komen Foundation College Scholarship Award program in August 2002. For more information, contact Dena Jackson, Grants Specialist, at djackson@komen.org.
