New "Cook for the Cure" Drive to Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Research

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and KitchenAid have launched Cook for the Cure™ which will unite consumers, retailers, leading magazines and noted culinary professionals and organizations in raising funds for breast cancer research.

The effort consists of a year-long series of special events and product offers, including cooking classes, gala fundraising dinners with famed chefs and cookbook authors, and a KitchenAid donation-with-purchase program in October honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

A limited edition pink Cook for the Cure™ KitchenAid stand mixer is currently available for purchase with $50 of the price going to the Komen Foundation. The mixer can be ordered online at www.kitchenaid.com or by calling 1-800-541-6390.

Partners in Cook for the Cure™ include the International Association of Culinary Professionals and the magazines Bon Appetit, Gourmet, House & Garden, Victora and O.
