Lifetime Breast Cancer Event Set for Oct. 18th in Los Angeles

Lifetime Television and Marie Clair magazine will again join forces to present "Women Rock! Girls & Guitars," as part of their cooperative effort to fight breast cancer.

The event, scheduled for October 18th at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, will air on Lifetime on October 26th.

The two-hour special is part of an awareness and fundraising event benefiting the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations and the National Breast Cancer Coalition.

Some of the stars scheduled to perform include Pat Benatar, Mary J. Blige, Dixie Chicks, and Emmylou Harris. Allison Janney of "The West Wing" will act as host of the event.

The concert is part of Lifetime's ongoing public awareness campaign, "Our Lifetime Commitment: Stop Breast Cancer for Life."
